With the increasing use of data, companies and customers are looking for direction. Data-sharing agreements are often unnecessarily long and complex. On July 23, 2019, Microsoft released three data-sharing agreements, which they hope will serve as the basis for other organizations wishing to produce similar documents. We believe that everyone can benefit from openness, sharing and cooperation in data to make better decisions, improve efficiency and even help address some of the world`s most pressing social challenges. Einstein Automate aims to automate processes and link workflows and data. A lot of people and organizations are doing a great job of addressing this issue. There are many agreements for the use of data and resources that are readily available via an Internet search. We have created a number of links here to many of them. The Cascadia Data Discovery Initiative aims to make the Cascadia region the world leader in biomedical data science, with a focus on cooperation, data exchange and data-based research, which can help address some of society`s greatest challenges. There is no doubt that data work somehow requires careful consideration of data protection and security risks, but there are clear benefits that must be achieved if they are properly implemented. Although there are a number of existing agreements on data sharing, Microsoft has developed these new ones in order to be much shorter and easier to share data. For example, the Computational Use of Data Agreement (C-UDA) solves a gap identified among existing public licenses – the sharing of data sets containing material that the distributor may not own, but which has been legally accessed from publicly available sources and is therefore legally authorized for computer applications.
